Great question! Here’s the simple answer: [Prebiotics](/content/blogs/digest/what-is-prebiotic-fiber-benefits-uses/index.html) are what probiotics eat. Probiotics are live bacteria with health benefits, sometimes referred to as ‘good bacteria.’ Our digestive tract is home to many beneficial bacteria, which need food, just like us. That’s where prebiotics come in. Because we can’t break them down, prebiotics pass through our digestive tract to the large intestine (where most beneficial bacteria reside). Our OLIPOP flavors with natural vanilla may contain dark specks due to the vanilla bean used. This is commonly seen in our Cream Soda. Pulp can also be present in certain OLIPOP flavors with natural fruit juices, like our Banana Cream flavor. ### Payment What forms of payment do you accept? What is OLIPOP sweetened with? OLIPOP is sweetened with a combination of cassava syrup, fruit juice, and stevia. Stevia is a non-nutritive sweetener, which means it tastes sweet but contains zero calories. Does OLIPOP contain caffeine? We currently have four flavors that contain caffeine from green tea extract: Vintage Cola, Doctor Goodwin, Cherry Cola, and Citrus Rush (formerly Ridge Rush). Vintage Cola, Doctor Goodwin, and Cherry Cola contain 50mg of caffeine per can, while Citrus Rush contains 60mg of caffeine per can. The rest of our flavors are caffeine-free! Is OLIPOP peanut or tree nut-free? OLIPOP does not contain peanuts or tree nuts, but they are present in our production facility. OLIPOP has systems in place to ensure no cross-contamination of allergens occurs. However, those with severe allergies should exercise caution. Is OLIPOP kosher? No, OLIPOP is not currently certified kosher. Can diabetics drink OLIPOP? While OLIPOP contains 80% less sugar than traditional sodas, managing diabetes is often individualized.
